Spiti Valley Full Circuit Bike Tour With Chandratal and Pin Valley 2026
This is the complete Spiti circuit on two wheels, the way it deserves to be ridden. The Spiti Valley full circuit bike tour with Chandratal and Pin Valley puts you on a Royal Enfield Himalayan from Chandigarh, takes you through six valleys of Himachal — Kinnaur, Baspa, Spiti, Pin, Lahaul, and Kullu — and brings you back 11 days later with 9 days of actual saddle time, a night camping at Chandratal Lake at 4,300 metres, a ride through Pin Valley National Park that almost nobody else includes, and a memory bank that no Instagram reel will ever fully capture. This is not a rushed weekend getaway with a bike photo at Kunzum. This is a proper Spiti bike expedition from Delhi built for riders who want to see everything, ride everything, and come home knowing they did the full circuit the right way.
What makes this Spiti Valley motorcycle tour different from everything else in the market is the routing and the breathing room. You enter Spiti from the Shimla side through Kinnaur, which means gradual altitude gain over four days — Narkanda at 2,700 metres, Sangla at 2,600 metres, Kalpa at 2,759 metres, then Tabo and Kaza — so your body acclimatises properly before you hit the high passes. Most bike tours rush you from Manali to Kaza in one brutal day and wonder why half the group is sick by evening. We do it the smart way. You also get a full overnight in Tabo, a dedicated Pin Valley ride through snow leopard territory to Mud Village, two nights in Kaza for the complete high village circuit, and a Chandratal camping night before riding out to Manali. This is the complete Spiti circuit bike tour 2026 — nothing skipped, nothing rushed.
The Spiti Valley Full Circuit Bike Tour With Chandratal and Pin Valley is an 11 day guided motorcycle expedition on Royal Enfield Himalayan bikes. You ride from Chandigarh through six valleys, covering every major landmark in Spiti and Kinnaur, with experienced Himachali road captains, a dedicated mechanic, a backup vehicle for luggage and emergencies, and on ground support that knows every turn of this route. Bikes are picked up in Chandigarh on Day 2 and dropped back after riding all the way from Manali on Day 10 — giving you 9 full riding days.
- Gradual Acclimatisation That Actually Works: Chandigarh to Narkanda to Sangla to Kalpa to Tabo to Kaza. Your body climbs in careful steps over four days instead of one reckless altitude jump from Manali. This is why our riders do not get sick at Kaza.
- Tabo Overnight and Pin Valley Ride: Most operators rush past Tabo in 20 minutes and skip Pin Valley entirely. You get an evening at a 1,000 year old monastery, a ride through the Pin Valley to Mud Village and Kungri Monastery, and the Dhankar cliff monastery viewpoint. This is the day nobody else gives you.
- Chandratal Camping and Kunzum Pass: Cross Kunzum La at 4,590 metres, camp overnight at Chandratal Lake under the Milky Way, walk to the lake at sunset and sunrise, and ride out through Batal and the Atal Tunnel to Manali.
- Ideal For: Solo riders, friend groups, couples riding together, experienced riders, and first time Himalayan riders who want the most complete Spiti bike circuit with local support, 9 riding days, Pin Valley, Chandratal camping, and bikes returning to Chandigarh.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Is the Best Time for This Spiti Full Circuit Bike Tour?
June to September. June and September are the sweet spots with fewer crowds and clear skies. July and August bring rain but the dramatic clouds and green patches make for incredible riding. The full Chandratal and Kunzum route typically opens by mid June.
How Is This Different From a 7 Day Manali to Spiti Bike Trip?
The 7 day trip enters and exits from Manali. You miss Kinnaur, Sangla, Chitkul, Kalpa, Nako, Gue, Tabo, Dhankar, and Pin Valley entirely. This 11 day tour is the full circuit — Shimla side entry through Kinnaur with gradual acclimatisation, and Manali side exit through Chandratal. It covers six valleys instead of two. It gives you 9 riding days instead of 5. And it includes Pin Valley, which almost no other bike trip in the market offers.
Why Does This Trip Include Pin Valley and a Tabo Overnight?
Because they are among the most rewarding experiences in Spiti and skipping them makes no sense on an 11 day expedition. Tabo Monastery is over 1,000 years old with ancient frescoes inside mud walls — it deserves more than a 20 minute photo stop. Pin Valley is snow leopard territory with the ancient Kungri Monastery and Mud Village at the end of the road. These stops are what separate a real expedition from a template tour.
Do I Need My Own Bike or Do You Provide Bikes?
We provide Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycles (411cc, with 450cc upgrade subject to availability). Fuel for the entire itinerary route is included. If you prefer to ride your own bike, contact us for pricing without bike rental. Bikes are picked up in Chandigarh on Day 2 and dropped back in Chandigarh on Day 10.
What Riding Experience Do I Need?
Valid motorcycle licence is mandatory for riders. Riding experience on 400cc or above is recommended for solo riders. The route includes gravel, broken roads, river crossings, and high altitude thin air riding. If you are new to riding, you can join as a pillion rider or travel in the backup vehicle and still experience the entire route. The road captain assesses every rider on Day 2 and provides guidance throughout.
Is Chandratal Camping Guaranteed?
Chandratal camping depends on road and weather conditions. Kunzum Pass and the Chandratal access road must be clear for the campsite to operate. If conditions are unsafe, we reroute and adjust. Safety always comes first and the road captain makes real time decisions.
How Cold Does It Get?
Expect 15 to 25 degrees during daytime riding. Narkanda and Sangla nights: 5 to 10 degrees. Kaza nights: 0 to 5 degrees. Chandratal at night: near freezing to below zero, even in July and August. Pack thermals, a warm jacket, and thick socks for the camping night.
What About Mobile Network and ATMs?
Jio and Airtel work until Kinnaur then drop off. BSNL postpaid works best in Spiti. ATMs are unreliable past Reckong Peo. Day 4 passes through Reckong Peo — that is your last chance to withdraw cash. Carry Rs 5,000 to 10,000 for lunches, personal expenses, and monastery fees.
Why Do We Ride the Bikes Back to Chandigarh Instead of Dropping Them in Manali?
Because 280 km of highway riding on Day 10 is a bonus riding day, not a chore. After nine days in the mountains, the smooth highway back to Chandigarh feels like a victory lap. And returning bikes to Chandigarh keeps logistics clean and costs lower. It is the smart way to close the loop.
Can Pillion Riders and Non Riders Join?
Yes. Pillion riders ride on the back of a solo rider’s bike. Non riders can travel in the backup vehicle and experience the same route, same stops, same camping, and same meals. Pricing differs — contact us for pillion and backup vehicle rates.
What If Roads Close Due to Landslides or Weather?
It happens in the mountains. We prioritise safety above everything else. The road captain adjusts the itinerary based on real time ground reports. All changes are communicated with full transparency. No refund is applicable for weather related changes, but we always deliver the best possible alternative experience.
How Much Does This Bike Tour Cost?
Starting price is ₹28,999 per person on triple sharing as a solo rider with Royal Enfield Himalayan, fuel, all stays, 17 meals, riding gear, support vehicle, and mechanic included. Pillion pricing starts at ₹22,999. Double sharing, own bike, and custom group pricing available on request.
