Itinerary

Day 1: Fly Chennai to Delhi – Board Overnight Volvo to Manali

Take a morning or midday flight from Chennai to Delhi (about 2 hours 45 minutes, with many daily flights) so you land with time to spare.
Reach the Delhi boarding point by evening and meet your fellow travellers — the group, and the adventure, begin tonight.
Board your overnight Volvo to Manali and rest as the bus rolls towards the mountains.

Day 2: Arrive Manali – Drive to Kaza via Atal Tunnel & Kunzum Pass (200 km / 8–10 hrs)

Arrive in Manali in the morning, freshen up, and set off on the spectacular drive into Spiti.
Glide through the 9 km Atal Tunnel into the stark, beautiful Lahaul Valley.
Cross the high Kunzum Pass (4,551 m) with its panoramic sweep of snow-capped peaks, pausing at Chhatru and Batal for chai and photos.
Arrive in Kaza by evening, check in, and rest as your body adjusts to the altitude.

Day 3: Kaza – Langza, Hikkim & Komic High-Village Circuit (80 km / 5–6 hrs)

After breakfast, drive up to Langza (4,400 m), famous for its giant Buddha statue and fossil-rich hills.
Continue to Hikkim and send a postcard home from the world’s highest post office.
Reach Komic, among the highest motorable villages on earth, and visit its serene Tangyud Monastery.
Soak in surreal high-altitude landscapes and warm village hospitality before returning to Kaza.

Day 4: Kaza – Key Monastery, Kibber & Chicham Bridge (60 km / 4–5 hrs)

Post breakfast, visit the iconic Key Monastery, a 1,000-year-old Tibetan Buddhist marvel stacked dramatically above the Spiti River.
Drive to Kibber, one of the highest villages with a motorable road, set against a stunning mountain backdrop.

Reach the designated camping zone, then walk the short rocky trail to the crescent-shaped “Moon Lake”.

Day 6: Chandratal to Manali – Board Overnight Volvo to Delhi (170 km / 6–7 hrs)

Wake to crisp mountain air and depart Chandratal, retracing the scenic route via Batal.
Drive to Manali by late afternoon, with time to freshen up.
Board your overnight Volvo back towards Delhi.
Overnight journey to Delhi.

Day 7: Arrive Delhi – Fly Home to Chennai (Trip Ends)

Arrive in Delhi in the morning; book an afternoon or evening flight back to Chennai to allow buffer time.
Trip ends with a phone full of memories from the Middle Land.

Standard hotel check-in is 11 AM; early check-in is subject to availability.
Transport runs as per the itinerary and is not at personal disposal; air conditioning may not operate efficiently in hilly terrain.
Rates may change without prior notice due to force majeure, weather, strikes, or other circumstances beyond our control; we will arrange suitable alternatives where possible.
We reserve the right to cancel a booking even after payment, in which case any amount received is refunded.
Any misconduct affecting the group or staff may result in dismissal from the tour without refund.
The itinerary may be adjusted for safety or circumstances beyond our control; we will minimise disruption.
Travellers are responsible for their personal belongings throughout the trip.

How do I reach this trip from Chennai?

Fly from Chennai to Delhi (about 2 hours 45 minutes, with many daily flights) and join the overnight Volvo to Manali on Day 1. We help you time your flight so you reach the Delhi boarding point comfortably by evening. You can also fly Chennai–Chandigarh and start from the Shimla side on request. Flights are not included in the package.

How cold does it get at Chandratal and Kaza in summer?

Kaza nights run roughly 5–10°C, while Chandratal can drop to 0–5°C even in July. Pack thermals, a down jacket, gloves, and a warm cap.

What about mobile network and ATMs?

Network is limited in Kaza (BSNL is most reliable) and absent at Chandratal. ATMs can be unreliable, so carry roughly ₹5,000–₹7,000 in cash for the full trip.
